Ale, nasa langit na ba ako?

Whenever I hear this song, I can’t help but think of Luis Manzano and Anne Curtis, especially imagining them in an MTV version of it. The song itself already tells a cinematic story, but in my mind, their personalities and chemistry make it even more vivid.

Isang araw, nagmamaneho sa Cubao
Aking nakita, babaeng saksakan ng ganda

One day, while driving in Cubao, Luis spots a stunningly beautiful woman—Anne Curtis—cruising in a sporty car. Mesmerized, he follows her, only to lose sight of her and end up crashing into another vehicle.

Sinundan ko ang kotseng sinasakyan niya
Hindi ko nakitang may dumarating pala
Hindi ko naiwasan, kami biglang nagkabangaan

When he regains consciousness, he’s already in the hospital, being attended by a beautiful nurse—again, played by Anne.

At this point, Luis mistakes the nurse for an angel. Still delirious, he blurts out his now-famous line:

He eventually asks the nurse to marry him—only to find out that she’s already married.

Heartbroken, distracted, and emotional, he ends up in another accident, falling down the stairs and knocking his head hard on the cement.

Once again, he wakes up in the hospital—this time attended by yet another nurse, still resembling Anne but with a new personality. Before getting his hopes up, he carefully asks if she’s married. When she says no, his heart leaps, and the chorus returns.

This third version of Anne combines the sporty, demure, and playful traits of the previous ones—making her the perfect match for Luis. Their personalities blend effortlessly: both funny, charming, articulate, and undeniably attractive.

Luis’s playful and spontaneous nature complements Anne’s carefree, flexible, and bubbly personality. The chemistry feels natural and believable, which is why I genuinely wish they would make an MTV version of this song. I can already imagine how entertaining—and kilig—it would be.
