Getting to Know Me: The Woman Behind the Words

Hi, I’m Iris—and I’ve been blogging for almost half of my life.

Before social media feeds and filtered stories, there were words typed late at night on blank blog pages. And that’s where I found my voice—where I could share my thoughts freely, process what I couldn’t say out loud, and connect with people not just through opinions, but through shared humanity.

Writing has always been my way of making sense of the world. It’s how I celebrate joy, survive heartbreak, navigate work, reflect on love, and remember who I am.

The Blogger and the Woman
I started this blog as a safe space—a place to be real. Over the years, it has grown into a reflection of me: not always polished, sometimes messy, but always honest.

You’ll find posts on life, love, career, motherhood, culture, healing, heartbreaks, hope, and even paranormal stories. Because I’m not just one story—I’m many.

The Engineer by Profession
In the world of work, I’m an Industrial Engineer who thrives on solving problems and building systems that work better for people. I’m passionate about Lean principles, continuous improvement, and efficiency—but beyond the metrics, I care about the human side of progress.

The Writer and Storyteller at Heart
Words are my compass. I write poems, essays, and fiction, often inspired by real-life pain, lessons, and silent prayers. I recently published “One Day at a Time”, a story-poem about moving forward and healing slowly. I’m also deep into writing my suspense novel “The Missing Woman.”

My writing is for the average woman who has struggled, lost, hoped, and found the courage to rise again. If that’s you—you’re in the right place.

A Filipina Soul
Born and raised with deep Filipino roots, I write from the lens of someone who embraces her culture, her imperfections, and her longing to be both grounded and free. My posts often carry the scent of Batang ‘80s and ‘90s memories, the heart of Filipino family life, and the strength of a woman who’s been through enough to finally know what matters.

Why I’m Still Here
After all these years, I still blog.
Not for clicks or trends.
But because someone, somewhere, needs to read something real.

So if you’re here—whether you’re tired, curious, healing, or just need someone to remind you that your story matters—welcome. Take a deep breath. Scroll at your pace. I’m so glad you’re here.

Let’s journey together, one word at a time.
